Widely used internally in traditional medicine, Sanicle is reputed to treat diarrhea, internal hemorrhages, leucorrhea, chronic cough and bronchitis. Externally, it has been used to treat septic wounds and hemorrhoids.

It is said to stop internal and external bleedings. It has been used to treat a wide variety of gastro-intestinal disorders. Sanicle is alleged to help resolve a variety of skin disorders and tumors.2

Common Names: Sanicle, Poolroot, Wood Sanicle, Black Snakeroot, Worm Sanicle.

Side effects

Avoid excessive consumption.


40 drops two to three times per day. In cases of tumors, apply extract on the area as often as possible.
